The heart is an organ that sustains life. Its primary function is to move oxygenated blood throughout your body and organs which include the brain.
If the heart stops beating, so does blood circulation. Brain damage can occur from lack of oxygen, if CPR is not initiated. CPR is crucial and if it is delayed severe and permanent damages can occur. This reset of the heart is essential for survival during a cardiac arrest!
Just like we have a physical heart we have a spiritual heart that is also a sustainer of our spiritual life given by the holy spirit.

John 3:6 says Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.
In our hearts we can hold on to negative feelings, our mind can dwell on the negativity like our past mistakes, or the hurt we have received. This type of negative thoughts can cause a deep spiral down into the dark trenches. I know this first hand, that our thoughts turn into physical symptoms that can dominate our lives and lead us down an unwanted path. Our minds have the power to influence our actions and decisions, often without us even realizing it. It's important to be aware of our thoughts and take control of them before they take control of us. This lack of control can comparably be like our physical hearts. Stopping and causing a spiritual cardiac arrest. Where spiritual CPR is needed in order to prevent loss of spiritual life.

In Proverbs 4:23 it says Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
We can not choose our trials but we can redirect our thoughts and actions, by doing spiritual CPR on our bodies thus liberating our minds from the choke hold of negativity. When we start to think negatively we have to stop and assess our situation by first giving our problems to God but by also changing our mindset. Performing CPR.

1. Conscious: Be aware of your negative thoughts or actions.
You will have to actively seek these thoughts out. Be mindful of them. Find your triggers and ask God for domination over them. You’ll know if your thoughts are  negative if they are not “true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable”. When you can recognize this it's the first step towards resuscitation, and life.

2. Pass: Change direction of negative thoughts or actions.
Once you know what to look for and what triggers you can actively pass by the negativity,by removing yourself from the situation or changing the direction of your thoughts. This action helps you take control of your thoughts and whatever has a hold of you now loses control over you when you learn what to look for. You can intentionally pass it up if it's not “true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable” this will allow your mindset to change and start to breathe new life into you.

3. Replace: Positivity takes the place of that negative thought or action
You want to create a new way of thinking. You’ll replace those negative thoughts with positive ones, make sure that they are “true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable”. This will take time, and practice, and you must be intentional. We are not perfect and we all don't have it together, but that's where God steps in and weaves the bad into good. This is where we find new life.

Use this this verse to help you and remind you that that we must fix our thoughts
Philippians 4:8 says And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise
We sometimes suffer in silence for many reasons. In these moments of silence we should seek God for He speaks to us and He carries us. We can cry on His shoulder and ask for help He will deliver us.  Allow yourself to be honest and vulnerable with God.
As an example Psalms 13 says O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? Turn and answer me, O Lord my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die. Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.
God sees you! He sees your value,he sees your tears, your hurt and He keeps track of heartbreak. It is not all in vain. God  wants to resuscitate your heart. We must be willing to let go and let God do what he does best, heal and overcome! We must seek him when we may not want to. We must worship him when we may not want to. Raise our hands, bend the knee in an act of surrender to the ONE that can do it all. When we do this He will lift us up and we will emerge with a reset heart and have victory for His glory!
Isaiah 41:9-10 I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant. For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
God wants to reset our hearts by healing what has been shattered. He wants us to emerge with endurance and faith. For us to live in His unfailing love. When you are ready to be resuscitated God will show up! His power will work through you. In our trials and hardships is where God shows off. I pass this along to you because I have lived it, and in Him I am strong, I have been able to get through very difficult times, because I gave him my weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 says Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
James 1:2-4 says Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
