“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV

I was driving to work one day. While listening to the radio, I heard a spiritual ad that left me thinking. The ad said:

  • You relax on a plane, even though you don’t know the pilot,
  • You relax on the ship, even though you don’t know the captain.
  • You relax on a bus, even though you don’t know the driver.
  • Why don’t you relax in life, knowing that God is in control?

Every time we get into either type of these transportations, we don’t question the pilot, captain, or driver. We believe they are well-qualified to fly, navigate, or drive the vehicles that they are handling. We don’t check their license or certifications because we believe the company that hired them and trust them that they will do their job. But when it comes to God’s plans for us, we question him or even reject it and go our own way.

Sometimes we may not understand how He leads us, but that’s irrelevant because the One who’s leading knows it all!

All we need to do is to relax and trust HIM enough as we are seated. Meanwhile, he takes care of guiding us through the storms and whirlwinds, taking us safely to our destination.

Some people can say “I can see the pilot with my own eyes, but I can’t see God, how can I trust someone I can’t see?” This is true but how are we sure the navigators are at 100% to navigate us safely? We’ve heard or seen on the news about pilots, captains, or drivers being drunk, sleep-deprived, or mentally ill. So just because you see them you can’t imply, they are reliable, right? That’s where trust comes into the picture, otherwise, we would be labeled as “paranoid”. At some point in time, we got to let go of our fears and start trusting.

However, with God, it’s never blind faith and never uncertain. God’s nature and his goodness has always been revealed to us both in the scriptures and through our own personal experiences.

For example, my own experience in life, I have dealt with drugs, alcohol, and porn addiction. I thought I could deal with it on my own, that I could break my chains. Me being my own pilot, captain, and driver. But the more I navigated my own vessel the more I sank free fell and drove recklessly. Not until I gave the wheel to God and gave him full control of the vessel. I started to see his plans for me and started to see those chains break cause of the ONE who was and is in control. We have “The MASTER” of all leading at the wheel.

It may be blind faith in the world because we didn’t know any better. But since we took that first step in believing in “The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit” and took the baptismal plunge. We gave God our life so He can direct us to his plan for us. Yes, we may doubt, fail, and fall from time to time, but if we recognize our mistakes we shall rise again and stronger.

As his word says:
“For though the righteous fall seven times they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.”
Proverbs 24:16 NIV

All we must do is trust in HIM and everything will fall into place. We believe in HIM, and we will be healed, will receive what our hearts desire, we will walk that righteous path, we will be called his sons and daughters and we will receive eternal life.

“Go,” said Jesus “Your faith has healed you.”
Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
Mark 10:52 NIV

“IF you have faith, you will receive whatever you pray for.”
Matthew 8:14 NIV

“God so loved the world that he gave his own Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life”

John 3:16 NIV

So let us hand over the wheel to HIM cause HE knows best. He created us so we can believe and trust HIM and only HIM.
